We are celebrating success following the Garden Centre Association's regional award ceremony where Armitage's scooped the highest accolade: Best Destination Garden Centre 2010 in the North East for our Pennine centre.
And it was a great evening for both our centres as Pennine and Birchencliffe were awarded Highly Commended Garden Centre for achieving high standards in the independent audits carried out by the GCA earlier this year.
In addition, our Pennine Garden Centre received the best in class awards for Best Plants, Best Pets & Aquatics Retailer and Best Lifestyle Retailer in the destination garden centre categories for the North East.
"It is always fantastically rewarding to achieve these awards as the Garden Centre Association champions professionalism in garden centre retailing and competition is always tough." Said Director, Alistair Armitage.
"We are obviously delighted with the Best Destination Garden Centre award for our Pennine centre and particularly pleased with the Best Plants award as this is our core business. Our team play a huge part in achieving these high standards and we wholeheartedly acknowledge them for their effort and commitment."
Both centres also came away with many awards of merit for achieving high standards in the audit, which annually inspects over 160 members to ensure high standards are maintained and stringent criteria met.
