The NSPCC are enjoying an early Christmas present after Armitage’s Garden Centres presented a cheque for £2000 to the children’s charity.
This generous amount is the sum total of a number of fundraising activities including the netting
of real Christmas trees and the gift wrapping service. This Christmas, Armitage’s Garden Centres in Shelley and Birchencliffe plan to continue their support of the charity.
“We have always been actively involved with the NSPCC and are delighted that our ongoing initiatives have resulted in such a fantastic donation.” Commented William Armitage, Director at the family owned garden centres. “Christmas is such a busy time of year for us, especially so with all the children’s tea parties with Santa and our fantastic new grottos, so we are proud to continue our support of this worthy charity.”
“I would like to thank all the family and staff at Armitage’s for all their hard work and continued support of the NSPCC and all their customers who kindly donate to the charity. Their continued generosity will help raise much needed funds for vulnerable children and young people across West Yorkshire and the UK.”” Added Helen Verity, Community Appeals Manager for the NSPCC.
Fresh cut, potted and pot grown Christmas trees will be in store at Armitage’s from the 1st of December and the centres will once again accept donations for the NSPCC with every real Christmas tree they net for customers.
