On the last Friday of every month

Join us for this exciting new event under our planting area canopy at our Pennine Garden Centre, Shelley.

The food fair will take place the last Friday of every month between 10am and 4pm.

Taste some of the regions best produce expertly grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked or smoked in the Yorkshire area.

An opportunity for you to talk to the region’s finest food and drink producers and take home some delicious local nosh.

Make sure you don’t miss out on picking up some gorgeous goodies for those summer BBQs, picnics and al fresco dining.

High quality nutritious venison meat and venison products of the 21st century from the farm by the M1. Raised to the highest welfare standards with the minimum of intervention in a near-natural environment.

Tasty, vegetable based soups free from artificial colourings, preservatives, flavourings and Monosodium Glutamate. All ingredients are sourced from local Yorkshire growers and producers to maximise freshness and minimize food miles!

Pure, local, natural Highland beef reared on nature reserves across Yorkshire. Slaughtered locally and then hung for three weeks for taste and tenderness, before being butchered.

Brickyard Organic Farm

Brickyard Farm is a family run business producing completely organic vegetables since 1982. A self-sustained farm with a wide range of good quality seasonal vegetables.

Church View Farm Free Range Eggs:

Church View have been producing free range eggs long before Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall started to get people interested in the subject. Come along and try their brilliant hen, duck and goose eggs. They really do taste different.

The Burton family has been farming at Wilberfoss for more than a century and today Grant and Mark Burton are the fourth generation in the business. The Burton’s herd of outdoor pigs are kept in welfare friendly conditions with plenty of space and freedom to roam, root and wallow. Their speciality is a range of gourmet sausages, handmade using the best cuts of pork and quality ingredients.

Yummy Yorkshire Luxury Dairy Ice Cream is made using fresh milk and cream from the farm's Friesian Holstein herd.

No funny coloured ice creams will be found here as all flavours are made with natural and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. The strawberry ice cream is made with the best strawberries from Brecks Farm in Swillington and the lemon curd is made using fresh lemon curd made with free range eggs, from 'Kitchen' in Snaith.

Stanacre Poultry Company:

Stanacre Poultry Company produce quality free range and barn reared chicken at their farm in Wakefield. Their happy hens can freely scratch about all day without the confines of an overcrowded cage meaning that they are one highest quaulity producers of free ranage chicken in the region. You should come and taste the difference for yourself.

Bells of Morley: 

Something for the main course and dessert from Bells.  Producing delicious meat pies and fabulous scones, Bells are another fantastic Yorkshire producer to try.
