Armitage’s is a member of the Garden Centre Association, formed in 1966 and committed to achieving excellence in customer service, plant quality and reliability. Every year, each of the 160 members throughout the UK and Northern Ireland, must undergo a comprehensive annual inspection to ensure they continue to meet the stringent criteria set out by the association and therefore maintain membership. As a result, a GCA garden centre assures you excellent levels of service, plants of quality and associated products as well as innovative lifestyle displays, professional advice and information.
Armitage's Garden Centres are pleased to have received several GCA awards over recent years including Garden Centre of Excellence in 2002/3, 2004/5, 2005/6 and 2007/8 for Armitage's Pennine Garden Centre, Best Staff in 2006 for Armitage's Birchencliffe Garden Centre and Highly Commended Garden Centre status for 2006/7 and 2007/8.

In addition to GCA membership, Armitage's is also a member of the The Horticultural Trade Association and the The British Agricultural & Garden Machinery Association.
